As a symbol of freedom and progress, and one of the most popular consumer products, cars have a special place in our imaginations… But in the fight against global warming, cars have also become a symbol of our societies’ excesses. Between the growing need for mobility, the necessity to relieve congestion in urban centres, the accelerated transition to electric mobility and new uses, can criticism and expectations be reconciled under the bonnet of tomorrow’s vehicles?
In short, can we still love our cars? Under what conditions? For what use?
This is the question the Court for Future Generations will try and find an answer to, with the help of experts and a jury of 7 leading figures from the worlds of institutions, science, associations and the automotive industry.
