With this new series, we’ll travel across the USA to cast an eye over the current state of EV charging in, well, as many states as we can cover!
With the channel based in Boston, MA, it makes sense to start with New England. We begin up in Maine, which represents both the challenges of adding EV charging and the advantages of having a clear plan in place before funds start flowing.
Here’s what that looks like for the good folks at Efficiency Maine: https://www.efficiencymaine.com/at-work/electric-vehicle-supply-equipment-initiative/
This video looks at the EV charging landscape in Maine as of early 2024, how many charging stations the state currently has, and how plans will expand charging options over the next 12-18 months.
If you’re planning a trip to Maine in your electric vehicle and need some tips, contact plugandplayev@gmail.com. We’re always happy to chat about charging and Steve is available for customized EV route plans, if you prefer to cover every last detail!
