In the Spring 2024 over-the-air update (version 2024.14.x), Tesla introduced cabin filter monitoring. This change in the service menu is monitoring the health of the cabin filters and the HEPA filters (if your car has those).
Tesla recommends replacing the cabin filters every 2 years on vehicles without the HEPA filter (Model 3 and older Model S, Y) and every 3 years on vehicles with the additional HEPA filter (Model Y, Model X and new Model S). With this monitoring in the service menu, you can now at least get a guide of the health of your filters before you embark on replacing them.
