In this video I change the oils on my 2013 Mitsubishi Shogun/Pajero LWB. It is a Mk4 (2006-2021) V90 3.2 DI-D engine code 4M41, with the V5AWF auto gearbox. The video goes through the oil specifications and quantities and what oils I used.
1. Engine oil
Spec: 0W-30 or 5W-30 (ACEA C1,C2,C3 or C4). Quantity: 9.8 litres.
I did not change the oil in this case. But you could use a Castrol MAGNATEC 5W-30 C3, Castrol EDGE 5W-30 LL, Helix Ultra ECT C3 5W-30 or Helix HX8 ECT C3 5W-30.
2. Differential oil
Spec: Super hypoid gear oil API GL-5 SAE 80. Quantity: Front diff uses 1.15 ltrs, rear 1.6 ltrs.
I used 3 x 1ltr Castrol TRANSMAX Universal LL 75W-90 from https://amzn.to/3zyfXrF
Torques: drain plugs 65 Nm, fill plugs 50 Nm.
You’ll also need new crush washers. Drain plugs use M18x24, fill plugs M16x22.
3. Transfer box oil
Spec: GL-3 SAE 75W-85 or GL-4 SAE 75W-85. Quantity: 2.8 litres.
I used 5 ltr Millers Oil MTF 75W85 from https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-276378-millers-oils-ee-performance-mtf-75w85-gear-oil.aspx?variantid=414033
Or you could use https://amzn.to/4d9yoSf or Castrol TRANSMAX Manual Long Life 75W-85.
Torques: Both drain and fill plugs 32 Nm.
4. Automatic gearbox oil
Spec: Dia Queen ATF-PA. Quantity: 10.9 litres.
I used RAVENOL ATF MM-PA from https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285862631449
You need around 3.5 litres if doing a pan flush. Or 12 ltrs if doing a full flush.
Torques: Drain plug 20 Nm. Overflow plug 20 Nm. Filler plug 39 Nm. Filter 10 Nm. Oil sump bolts 7 Nm. Cross beam mounting bolts 44 Nm. Cross beam two centre bolts 26 Nm.
You’ll also need a M10x16 drain plug washer.
