Many first time Tesla drivers are a bit bemused by the main screen in a Tesla. With a lack of switches, everything is done through the screen and it can be a bit daunting at first. But Tesla’s software is very good (and continues to improve with over the air updates) and it’s a very short learning curve to get used to it. In fact I’d go far as saying it’s the easiest of any car.
But as always, it takes familiarity and this is why you shouldn’t trust most review videos as they’ve not had the car long enough to get used to it and will often report negatively on Tesla’s approach.
In this video short, I just look at the search function which is mighty clever. Not only will it bring forward all relevant information, it also integrates the actual functions into the search results so you can do what you want with a single click while still within the search. Then if you want further information, it shows you the relevant sections in the online user manual.
