I built this teardrop camping trailer myself about 20 years ago. It was my first “DIY” project, before electric cars or anything else.
Here’s a previous blog entry I made about this trailer.
The top is aluminum and the sides were wood with an oak veneer. When it was new, it looked AMAZING! However, the wood sides did not hold up well to weather over that time and a neighbors tree branch fell on the camper, damaging it as well.
So, I got myself some aluminum sheets, I’m scraping off the old veneer, and I’m re-doing the camper as all aluminum.
