@byd.unitedkingdom invited me to an exclusive Flash Charging Demo Day at their UK Headquarters in Uxbridge — and what I witnessed might be the biggest leap forward for electric vehicles in years.

Here’s what the technology actually does:

All powered by a single cable capable of up to 1,500 kW, and built on BYD’s 2nd Generation Blade Battery using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry — with better ion transport, higher energy density, faster charging across a wider temperature range, and reduced degradation over time.
