In this video I look at the battery cooler setting on a 2022 Nissan E-NV200 Acenta 40kWh electric van. This setting seems a bit pointless as all you can do is activate or disable the battery cooling. But why on earth would you want to disable it? I can’t think of a scenario where you would want to stop your battery from getting too hot, which can potentially damage the cells and speed up the degradation.
The battery cooling in the E-NV200 or Evalia uses the air conditioning to cool the battery pack. Not all vehicles have this. Vehicle specifications vary between different markets/regions and therefore climates. UK spec E-NV200 didn’t have the battery cooler option, but did this start getting fitted as standard on UK vehicles following the "Rapid Gate"
This was recorded in December 2024.
