A look at the public electric vehicle charging in Banbury. First I’m at the Banbury Cross Retail Park, Lockheed Close, Banbury in Oxfordshire, UK. There are Tesla Superchargers which are open to all EV drivers and Osprey rapid chargers. The 12 Tesla chargers are CCS 250kW. The 6 Osprey chargers are CCS 150kW or Chademo 50kW. So a total of 18 DC rapid chargers at this site, open to all EV drivers . Then next I drive 1.3 miles down the road to the Instavolt Stroud Park hub where there are 32 DC rapid chargers. This Oxfordshire town is well catered for with over 100 public charging points over 13+ locations and growing.
