Last-mile delivery is extremely important and we often talk about vans as last-mile delivery however a lot of last-mile from warehouses is done by 16tn trucks. Tesla Semi Truck might be the truck your most commonly talk about however smaller 16tn trucks make up a HUGE part of the delivery network. Volta shows me and @EV News Daily around the Volta Zero which they are claiming is the world’s first purpose-built electric truck. It has a central seating position, low seating position and a host of cameras which would make any security guard green with envy. Most importantly they plan to get this to market quickly and efficiently. Using an E Axle this electric truck is using an off-the-shelf part and on-the-shelf batteries and assembling it in a factory that already makes products for other companies.
