Hi, welcome to Electric Car Australia the Aussie EV & Sustainable living YouTube Channel. My names Greg and today we’re going to look at the direct and indirect incentives each State & Territory Govt has to support the uptake of electric cars in Australia. We’ll also take a quick look at the Federal Govt and we’ll discuss the various Govt disincentives to EV ownership …..we’re the only country in the in one of these.

This was a difficult video to research for as Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory all do things slightly different when it comes to electric vehicle (EV) incentives and support. Things such as the different types of EV’s, purchase prices, stamp duty and rego discounts are all different which makes things confusing and difficult to compare. so we hope this video helps out. We’re also put some timestamps, in a screen shot at the start of the video, so you can go straight to your Australian State or Territories information.
