In this vlog style video, I go out to look at a customer’s Nissan E-NV200 electric van as they have brake and traction control warning lights on the dash. Since they’ve only owned the van for 2.5 months, it is still covered under the warranty, so rather than it going into a local garage, which typically have a 6 week wait, I drove out the same day to diagnose the problem.
My suspicion was that it was a faulty wheel speed sensor (also called an ABS sensor) and because the customer lives in London, it was highly likely that this was caused by foxes chewing the cables. This is something I hear about but had not yet experienced in person. My suspicions were correct. So even though this didn’t end up being a warranty issue, I didn’t charge the customer for the call out either, even though it ended up taking 9 hours!
This was recorded in January 2025.
