Today’s video follows the installation of the Livoltek hybrid inverter and Livoltek battery. A review of this system will follow in a few weeks along with a host of other installs and reviews of inverters and battery systems. I am joined today by Lee Morris from @MorzakEV and the off-camera voice you hear is Gordon from @efixx This system is one of a wave of new slimline and better-looking designs from inverter manufacturers. This system has MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) circuits for solar but on this install, we’ve gone for battery only. To find out why I haven’t fitted solar see the video at @MorzakEV For having a battery home storage system like this means I can run my house off more off-peak energy than peak and in turn reduce my bills. You do have the option to use this inverter with its EPS (Emergency Power Supply) circuit so if you had a blackout or no power you could run your home from the battery. Also if you had solar it could recharge the battery by the hybrid inverter even during loss of grid supply.
These new slim line better-looking batteries and inverters are likely to dominate 2023. They are perfect for people who don’t have a garage or a roof space to hide the battery and inverter and might have to pick an area that’s on display. Myenergi Libbi was recently released which also follows along the same lines of a much more attractive solar inverter with battery coupled system.
