Charging on public charger cost WAY more than fuel at specific public fast chargers and if you own or have been looking at buying an electric car recently a quick look online can show you the most expensive network is 98p a kWh which is almost 3 times more costly than someone on a standard energy deal is paying for electric and over 10 times more costly than someone on a cheap offpeak energy deal like Octopus Go or intelligent. If you charge at home and some very non-frequent public chargers it won’t bother you too much however if you’re only ever charged in public this could cost you a lot more than running a petrol or diesel car. In this video, we look at why that is!
