Mercedes S350d v Tesla Model S85D v Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid. (Same as a Vauxhall Ampera).

How does petrol and diesel compare to electric and hybrid vehicles?
This is just a random mix and there are a lot of variables but here is an example of cost breakdown for a journey we needed to do.
It goes some way to show just how the cost of each “fuel” compares….
The diesel car 48.7 mpg
The hybrid volt managed 72.9 mpg (electric and petrol used for the return trip)
The Tesla used some electric…
