When you sell your car or hand it back to the finance company, you should delete your personal data from it. This is more important now with vehicles that have a phone app. If you don’t delete the vehicle from the app, the new owner cannot take control of the vehicle in their app and has to go through a long winded process of getting the vehicle released before they can take it over in their app. In this video I go through all the steps you should do in a 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Electric 38kWh. However, the same will apply in the previous generation Ioniq, most other Hyundai & Kia vehicles and similar in most other cars too.
