Elon Musk’s Terrifying Discovery On Mars Changes Everything!
Humans were never happy with life on Earth, even before they learned about other planets in the Milky Way galaxy. When we gaze and look up into the night sky, we are continually reminded of how unfriendly, cold, and awful the world beyond the atmosphere is.
In the galaxy of the Milky Way, Earth is the only planet with a weather system. Human attempts to settle anywhere other than Earth will be met with great difficulty and pain for obvious reasons, and the discovery Elon Musk made on Mars seems to support that position quite well.
Getting people across the 34 million-mile gap between the Earth and Mars is a huge undertaking. Getting to Mars will be difficult for humans because it is a hostile, frigid, and inhospitable place.
Water is necessary for human life on Mars, but Mars doesn’t have any, does it? Despite evidence dating back to the 1970s, the available evidence cannot support this claim. There were signs of water when the Mariner 9 and Viking space probes first returned photographs of Mars to Earth. Italian researchers at the National Institute for Astrophysics have provided some of the most recent information. They released a report in Science in 2018 claiming to have discovered a 12-mile-wide crater.
A lake about a mile below the south pole of Mars. Between one and one hundred meters below Mars’ surface, eight locations on Mars had been found by the US Geological Survey that year where erosion had exposed significant cross-sections of ice deposits.
After a year of data analysis from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, scientists found layers of ice and sand beneath Mars’ north pole, according to the American Geophysical Union. Even though NASA has not yet developed the technology to extract water from Martian soil, it plans to do so by launching the Mars Ice Challenge, an annual competition for engineering students.
In Virginia, the Langley Research Center will host a competition in which ten finalists will present their water-recovery prototypes from a model of Martian subsurface ice. A prototype developed by a team at West Virginia University took first place in the 2019 competition. The Mountaineer, Ice Drilling Automated System III, was capable of recognizing, mapping, and drilling through various complex and frozen layers before extracting water from an ice block.
NASA has formed alliances with other organizations, including the Australian Space Agency, to enhance mining technologies for space applications. A microwavable spacecraft prototype, The World is Not Enough, was unveiled in July 2019 by NASA, the University of Central Florida, and Honeybee Robotics (WINE).
It has been designed to extract water from the soil of asteroids and use that water to generate steam. Mars explorers may be able to use modified water harvesting methods. Next, we have Mars, which lacks any kind of atmosphere. For a planet to support human life, it must have a stable and breathable atmosphere.
