Tony bought a 30kWh Nissan LEAF at auction — a decision he soon came to regret as *everything* started to go wrong. Although it’s clearly a cautionary tale about buying unseen at auction when you don’t know what to look for, it also shows that everything is fixable when you find good mechanics and ask the community.
In the final part of this LEAF trilogy, I ask Tony why he wanted an EV, what went wrong, and — importantly — how much did it all cost!
Massive thanks to Tony for being filmed and allowing me to document his journey.
I’ve bought two EVs at auction and both have been great so don’t let it put you off buying at auction, but do go through someone like eco-cars.net who know what to look for.
