In this video, I drive the Toyota Proace Electric van empty and measure the economy. I then add some weight in the back and drive the same roads and distance to see how the driving economy and therefore range is affected by the additional weight. During the journey I try to give some tips on how to get the best out of these electric vans and how to drive them efficiently to achieve the maximum range.
I’m driving a 2021 Toyota Proace Electric with a 50kWh battery pack. The same van is also a Vauxhall/Opel Vivaro, Peugeot Expert and a Citron Dispatch and all models are available with either a 50kWh or 75kWh battery pack.
Its a long video, so I’ve added chapters to enable you to jump the relevant sections if you wish.
