How much is Donkervoort F22 in European markets? Donkervoort F22 the World’s Lightest Supercar.
Donkervoort’s latest supercar launched with the name F22. This name means Filippa, the first daughter of CEO Denis Donkervoort was born on May 22, 2022.
The Donkervoort F22 is the first new model since Denis Donkervoort took over the company after his father, Joop Donkervoort, handed it over.
According to the company, this is the lightest supercar in the world with a vehicle weight of only 750kg. Meanwhile, with a power of 500hp and 640Nm of torque, the car only takes 2.5 seconds to accelerate from 0-100km / h, which is on par with the Ferrari SF90 Stradale supercar. But also because of the ability to accelerate extremely fast while being lightweight, Donkervoort F22 set another record: the largest cornering acceleration in the supercar world, reaching 2.15G.
Donkervoort F22 is an ultra-lightweight super sports car, with a two-seater structure, a targa convertible, a mid-front engine, and rear-wheel drive. The design is still somewhat distinctive with the long nose and the cockpit moving far back and close to the open-wheel sports racing models. The reverse bonnet, two butterfly doors, and exhaust outlets arranged on either side are also distinctive highlights of the Donkervoort F22’s design.
Donkervoort F22 still inherits the design quintessence and innovative technology from typical Donkervoort models before, especially the closest one is the D8 GTO supercar. The optimized versions of the Donkervoort D8 GTO also have an impressive acceleration from 0-100km / h in 2.6 seconds and an acceleration force of 2G. Thus, it can be seen that the performance of the new Donkervoort F22 model has been further improved compared to the D8 GTO series.
Donkervoort F22 has a new frame design, a tubular steel style combined with a weight-optimized hybrid structure. Power comes from the original turbocharged 2.5-liter I5 engine built by Audi Sport but tuned by Donkervoort to produce 500 hp and 640 Nm of torque, combined with a 5-speed manual transmission with stepping Short gearshift and rear-wheel drive, Torsen-style limited-slip differential. The car has an independent double-wishbone front and rear suspension system. Front tire size 235/40R18 and rear tire 275/35R19.
The driving feeling of Donkervoort F22 is said to be very sporty and even exciting thanks to its extremely lightweight, while high power and large cornering acceleration bring a feeling close to sports cars.
As highlighted above, the F22 accelerates from 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0-200km/h in 7.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 290km/h.
According to Donkervoort, the company will limit production of 75 Donkervoort F22s, of which 50 have been sold since the appearance of sketches.
The sales market of Donkervoort F22 is in North America, the Middle East, Europe, and many other places. The starting price of Donkervoort F22 in European markets is 245,000 Euros. The first Donkervoort F22s will be delivered to customers in Quarter one of 2023.
