How to replace the door mirror motor on a Land Rover Discovery 4

My electric mirrors weren’t tilting properly on both axis on the driver’s side mirror, yet were on the passenger side. So I concluded I needed a new mirror motor. The Land Rover part number is CRP500031.
This video shows you how to replace the mirror motor and how to remove the mirror cap, although that isn’t required to replace the motor. It also covers how to remove the mirror glass.
In my case, replacing the mirror motor didn’t solve my problems as I then discovered the mirror adjuster switch was intermittent which threw me as previously it was always doing the same and it was only the driver’s side mirror that was playing up. I resolved this by replacing the mirror & window switch pack – see https://youtu.be/eiGqFs30FBc
This video was filmed in Sept 2024.
