Would I call this trip a resounding success? Not really.
Land’s End to John O’Groats is the most famous drive in Britain: an 838 mile (1,348 km) trip from the bottom to the top of our isle. I did this journey back in 2020 in my Kia e-Niro but last year I wanted to repeat this journey in a Hyundai IONIQ 5. Why? To see if the infrastructure has improved, and if the IONIQ 5 — with its super fast charging — makes the whole experience easier.
One year after the journey, I’ve finally finished editing, so here it is. You might not think it’s relevant now (especially as a few new chargers have been added along the way now) but some of the issues still hold true. Having chargers everywhere is one thing, but are they occupied? And are they reliable?!
