The Kia e-Niro has been somewhat of a success for the Korean brand. It was refined, efficient, practical, comfortable and good value for what it was. In fact, it has been a car that since AutoEV started, has been a bit of a silent hero for us. Bryan has been on family holidays in them, and we’ve recommended them to people looking to buy a no-nonsense family EV. Our only criticism has been they aren’t exactly exciting to look at.
Well now Kia has a new one out, and this time they have certainly addressed the styling issue, but what about the rest? The EV world has moved on since the car was first launched, with many talented vehicles all after the Niro’s crown. Have Kia done enough to keep the rest at arm’s length? Is the new one any better, or is it just more of the same with a new face?
