After we failed to get Tesla’s Magic Dock Superchargers working on the Hyundai IONIQ 5 in Malta, NY on opening day, we took the opportunity to test three more locations on a road trip across New York state.
This video looks at how we fared in Batavia, Fredonia, and Verona, NY, all of which could conceivably be used to do our regular run from Boston, MA to Cleveland, OH with Tesla Magic Dock locations alone… if they work!
We also look at optimal positioning for non-Tesla vehicles at Superchargers, the challenges that some existing V3 sites present, and how V4 Superchargers are likely to be the solution for many of these concerns.
