This is my Tesla story…. Spoiler Alert: A LOT OF WAITING & Hitting Refresh on the Estimated Delivery Page (I was hoping that by refreshing I’d get the car sooner but clearly, I was delirious).
So I took delivery of the Model X Long Range after 450 days of waiting (it was supposed to be delivered in 60-90 days by the way). At one point, I got fed up with the Model X estimated delivery date (EDD) and I just ordered a Model Y 7-Seater and 105 days later, I took delivery…. And the Y was the best car I had ever driven…. until I drove the X….
My Tesla Timeline:
– Ordered the Model X in December ’20
– Estimated Feb’21 Delivery
– Promised April’21 Delivery
– Got fed up and ordered a Model Y in May’21
– Took delivery of the Model Y in Aug’21
– Completely forgot about my X order, because the Model Y is that amazing!
– Tesla sent VIN in March’22 and I had to scramble to get financing and figure out what I would do — sell the Model X for a profit? Or sell Model Y for a slight loss?
