The Tesla wiper controls are different to other vehicles. The button on the stalk just does a single swipe and if you hold it down, it then operates the washers. To adjust the wiper speed or enable auto wipers or turn it off, you use the scroll wheel on the steering wheel, or touch the menu on the screen or you can also use voice controls.
With the new UI changes in May 2024 (2014.13.3 update), this changes how the scroll wheel works after you press the wiper button. Now you scroll up and down, which is easier than left and right as before.
With the over the air updates, Tesla just get better as they get older!
