I often find vehicles have the wrong spec tyres fitted. While they’ll be the correct size and profile, the speed and load rating is often ignored. In this case, a Nissan E-NV200 electric van has just come in and it has recently had three new tyres fitted. As a vehicle seller, you would have thought that would be great. But these are not only cheap Chinese tyres, all three are different brands and models (not safe practice) and all are 88H (560kg) rated, whereas they should be 92H(630kg) rated. So this van is having four new tyres of the correct spec 185/65R15 92H XL, so it’s safer for the new owner if they load their van to the maximum payload.
It massively eats into the profit, but better to be safe than sorry.
I bet no one else cares or even notices. This van came from a local council too, so they didn’t!
