Renault last week let out a press release telling us the Renault 5 will be the first Renault to be launched with v2g, however, the article didn’t contain any real information and what FULL of rendered images. The press release seemed to of been sent out by France and released in all Renault markets at the same time, it contained various parts of conflicting information but it seemed to allude that the Renault 5 would do v2g with speeds of up to 22kw almost hinting its going to use v2g AC then showed a rendered image of the charging and discharging block which they called bi-directional also hinting its AC with finally showing a render of an AC charger. However from the information I’ve seen its FAR more likely the Renault 5 will be using V2G DC rather than AC and that if it does go AC which is UNLIKELY will only do with a special charger that currently doesn’t exist from what I could see.
