In the over the air (OTA) software update 2025.2, Tesla added third party charger preconditioning.
This now means battery heating (i.e. pre-conditioning) is triggered when you navigate to a rapid charger. Previously this was only done when navigating to a Tesla Supercharger, but now it is done when you navigate to other network’s chargers. So this means faster charging and you can disconnect and get on your way sooner.
