On the used, non-running 2013 Tesla Model S, I make a replacement cover for the fuse and we reinstall the battery pack.

I bought this as a non-running car. The error seemed to indicate that water had gotten in to the battery pack. We removed the battery, saw that the fuse cover was rusted out, and water got in through there.
I made a replacement fuse cover out of some stainless steel sheet. We temporarily reassembled the battery, but WITHOUT any sealant or caulk. I had no idea whether or not just drying out the fuse and battery would fix the problem. If it didn’t, I did NOT want to have to completley disassmble the battery pack again, including cutting through new sealant!
We installed the battery, using several jacks and making sure that both the car and battery were level to each other.
