The Tesla Model 3 Rear Wheel Drive / RWD Standard Range is more efficient than the Dual Motor 4 Wheel Drive but this example has the 79kwh Long Range battery so how far can that take it in real world driving conditions?
In this video we put it to the test to find out, on a wet UK summers day!
For some reason though this model has never been a configurable car on the Tesla UK website. It was made available only to fleet buyers. Some spare examples were available on new car inventory to the public in the end but ultimately they are quite a rare car, and not a specification we can order today with the new 2024 Highland Model 3 refresh… why…?
The efficiency and real range is phenomenal. Combine that with Tesla Superchargers for easy and fast charging and this has to be one of the ultimate road trip cars. It goes far further than the human bladder!
Is it less efficient than a 60kwh Standard Range car? Well at the end I will also give an example of one trip that was carried out between the two in convoy on the same roads at the same time in the same conditions.
