Tesla Model Y Long Range road trip to Cornwall.Tesla Model Y Standard Range is fairly new to the UK (First arrivals delivered end December 2022) so here is my first chance to review and get some handle on it’s real-world range capability on a very wet and windy day in England in March!
I’ll also run through any differences between this and the Long Range versions – anything different inside? Premium Audio on both? Interior space? Frunk Space?
Plus of course how is it to drive? Do I like the Real-wheel drive only version. I certainly do with the Model 3.
Is the Y quick enough with a 0-60 of 6.9 seconds? Well its slower than a lot of VE’s but in the real world it’s certainly fine and with effortless performance.
It’s very nice, very efficient, the range is good for this size battery, the specification as standard is excellent, the cabin space brilliant. But there is that one niggle as ever with the Model Y – ride comfort…. it’s ok on motorways but around town and country roads it’s too firm for a non-performance variant!
Tesla should soon start shipping comfort suspension so I look forward to trying one of those soon hopefully!
