In this update of Buff-E the Tesla powered race car we show the motors are installed and working. The first iteration to get it all going will be with a dual motor setup from a Tesla Model S P100D. Once everything is dialled in, and assuming we need more power, we’ll upgrade to a Tesla Plaid setup.
In this video we also show the solution we came up with to overcome the motor being in the way of the original steering column.
Next video we’ll hopefully have the Beetle bodywork on so it’ll start to look more like a car.
