Tesla has officially unveiled the 2025 Model Y – and we’ve just had a good look around it in the UK! Built at Tesla’s Shanghai factory, the refreshed Model Y boasts updated styling, advanced tech, and enhanced efficiency. UK buyers are expected to see orders open soon, following the pattern set by the latest Model 3.
The new Model Y refines its winning formula, adding a Cybertruck-inspired full-width light bar at the front, sleeker headlights, and an aerodynamic bumper with a new camera for self-driving tech. Subtle profile changes and reworked rear lights, including a reflective bar with Tesla lettering, complete the fresh look. The automatic boot now reveals 2,130 litres of cargo space, including the frunk.
Inside, the minimalist cabin is enhanced with a 15.4-inch touchscreen, an 8-inch rear screen, and electric rear seat folding. Acoustic glass and softer materials boost refinement, while ventilated front seats and ambient lighting add luxury.
A redesigned suspension delivers a smoother, quieter ride. Two Launch Editions offer impressive performance, with ranges up to 447 miles and a 0-62mph time of 4.3 seconds for the long-range model.
