The first 300 mile capable Electric Family Car for £20,000?

Recently prices have been coming down on EV’s in the used car market. This not due to lack of demand because that is up about 50% year on year but there are just now much more in supply.

The result is that they are becoming more affordable and now we are seeing some fantastic Electric Cars at much more affordable prices.

Take this Hyundai Kona Premium SE with a big 64kwh battery and a ton of specification which can now be snapped up used from about £20,000. This particular example is a very low mileage and fully loaded model and still only comes in at £25,000: https://www.rsymons.co.uk/used/cars/hyundai/kona/premium-se-64kwh-head-up-display-adaptive-cruise-heated-cooled-front-seats-878

It’s sister car the e-Niro is similar. There is in fact a great choice of EVs on the market in the 20’s but the Kona really stands out if you want or need the sheer real-world range that it offers. A good 64kwh useable battery capacity combined with excellent real world efficiency mean it can achive over 300 miles. Even with lots of short journeys in the winter and on the motorway (the least efficient speed for an EV) it can top 230 miles.

And just check out the spec which includes some things even some Tesla do not have.
Apple Car Play/ Android Auto
Head-Up display
Adjustable regen with steering wheel paddles
Autopilot type lane assist and radar cruise control
Vented as well as heated seats
Heated steering wheel

We show you around the car and test the practicality too.
