The Ford e-Transit electric van has a full size spare wheel. But unlike the combustion engine models, the spare wheel is mounted at the front under the (what would have been) engine compartment. This is because the electric Transit is rear wheel drive and the motor and inverter is on the rear axle and that is mounted in a new aluminium subframe, which stops the spare wheel being mounted under the floor art the rear. Under the rest of the floor is the 68kWh battery pack.
The van featured in this video is a 2023 Ford e-Transit Trend L2 H2 with a 198kW (269 PS) motor and a 68 kWh battery pack.
This video was filmed in November 2024.
