The new Volkswagen ID.7 has a lot to prove. The Wolfsburg car maker hasn’t exactly set our pulses racing with their electric offering so far, save for the fairly niche ID.Buzz. A drop in quality, lacklustre style and technology that felt way off the pace of it’s rivals has sent them back to rethink their EV models. And the new ID.7 cannot afford to get it wrong as every car it will compete with in this class of EV is a talent in it’s own right. So can this, the new ID flagship finally put VW back in front of the electric mobility race? The only way to find out was to subject the car to the full AutoEV road test here in the UK. After all, its the road test that actual car buyers trust when it comes to delivering the verdict on their next choice of electric vehicle.
