So about two weeks ago I was in hospital With a bleed, my mouth started to bleed I have mouth cancer if you are new around here and I lost 2ltrs of blood in about twenty minutes, hahahahha scary. I was in Portlaoise A&E, my wife drove me there in our car. Wow fantastic team, the stopped the bleeding and stabilised me and then I was in an ambulance up to James’s going to the A&E there and then MaxFax
What an amazing team they are! I’d like to thank all those Doctors and Nurses paramedics and ambulance drivers.
Honest ta fuck, I know the HSE gets a lot of hate and is a political hand grenade that they throw out but the people in it, the people working in I, in that 24 to 48 hours I dealt with over a dozen people and all they want is the very best for you, they want to make you well and they want to send you home.
While in James’s I got a tube through my groin up to my mouth and they fixed it, how do they do that? They went from here to here and they closed off any chance of bleeding and I was sent home a day or two later, I was fine. I’m home since, I’ve had chemotherapy, I certainly don’t recommend chemotherapy hahahaha that was hard, that was hard chemotherapy is hard! I got an initial dose in hospital along with immunotherapy they send you home with a little bottle and the bottle goes into a Picc line that’s in my arm now that takes four days and for those four days I was wiped out.
By day six or seven I started to feel much better I’m finally putting weight back on, I’m only 80kgs though, I was 110, let’s not get excited and I’m back in for chemotherapy, I can’t remember, this week I think. It’s the 30th of December so this week maybe and I’m also getting a scan.
That’s it, that’s where I am right now, I’m getting an MRI on Friday
