In the mid 2000s I used to drive a 300 miles round trip to Portsmouth in a 2004 2.0l petrol Honda Accord.
It used to achieve 42mpg. I thought I would do the same route in a current 2024 mid size hatchback hybrid to see what 20 years of progress translates to in improved mpg.
