Some time ago, we made a video about a newly emerging class of adventure scooters. We’ve had many fruitful discussions with our viewers in the comment section of that video, and have come to a consensus that this market segment is likely to grow in the upcoming years, since the consumer interest towards this type of two-wheelers is heating up.
Fast forward two years, it seems that manufacturers have taken a hint and started adding more and more offroad-capable scooters to their line-up. During this time, dozens of new models have been released and we want to tell you about all of them. This is the first volume of our mini-series dedicated to trail-ready scooters of 2023 and 2024 model years.

The ADX 125 is the newest adventure-oriented model in the line-up of this Taiwanese scooter manufacturer. The model is very likely to turn heads with its aggressive design language that features wide front fairing, split LED lights and an adjustable clear windshield. The scooter uses a liquid-cooled, single cylinder, 4-stroke engine with a 125-CC displacement.

Wottan Motors, a manufacturer from Spain, has recently announced the new Storm V model. This two-wheeler received a bright yellow paintwork with grey decals, muscular bodywork with angular lines and a transparent windshield that is inherent to the adventure scooter class. The heart of the model is a 125-CC, 1-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with liquid-cooling and electronic fuel injection.

The scooter’s power comes from a liquid-cooled, four-stroke single cylinder with 321-CC displacement, which returns 28.8 horsepower and solid 22 pound-feet of torque. The stopping power is provided by hydraulic brakes with 260-millimeter front disks and 240-millimeter rear disks, as well as an ABS system by Bosch.

Lexmoto XD-V 300 is one of the most affordable options on the modern adventure scooter market. This model is A2-compliant and is brought into motion by a 279-CC single-cylinder engine with a belt-drive. This unit produces 25.5 hp and 17.7 pound-feet of torque.

This overview could not be complete without a model that started the adventure scooter craze – Honda X ADV. Last year, the scooter was significantly facelifted and updated. Its improved engine offers the 65.3 MPG fuel economy and can cover up to 227 miles on one full 3.5-gallon tank.

BMW has recently introduced upgrades to its C 400 middleweight scooter line-up that included significant technical optimizations and new color options. The C-400 series is offered in two variations, but for the sake of this video, we are more interested in the adventure-oriented C-400 X scooter. The recently-optimized 350-CC engine will let you ride at speeds up to 85 mph, while retaining the average fuel consumption of 67 MPG.
