I got the DC motor in, 48V of lithium batteries, and the DC motor controller hooked up. Now I can spin the wheels with speed control!

This is just a "quick and dirty" conversion. I only got the camper two weeks ago, and it was leaking gas, so I yanked out the engine and gas tank. I found a DC motor on Facebook Marketplace which just happened to have a VW transmission adapter plate and clutch already on it! Too hard to pass that up! So, this conversion is just for testing out the camper as electric, so I can move it in my driveway and maybe zip around town. This will let me test a few things while planning the ACTUAL EV CONVERSION, which is at this point most likely to be a Nissan Leaf AC motor with a 240VDC Tesla battery pack.

Lots more videos coming soon on this project! I’ve been doing detailed filming as I go, but am excited enough about this project to post updates like this before I have the step-by-step videos edited!
