I had a go at installing PPF myself for the first time on my new Tesla Model Y. This was filmed in mid-December.
I purchased the pre-cut PPF from https://www.aliath.co.uk/
You can see all the Tesla Model Y pieces here https://www.aliath.co.uk/search?q=tesla+model+y
The PPF film they supplied is https://www.orafol.com/en/europe/products/oraguard-270-stone-guard-film
Tools I used:
PPF rubber squeege tools https://amzn.to/3uSe5rF
PPF felt squeege tools https://amzn.to/3uNnYHb
There’s plenty of videos online to show you how to make up the slip solution (5ml baby soap + 100ml water in spray bottle) and tack solution (800ml water + 200ml alcohol in a spray bottle or just use warm water).
The job is pretty easy on the flat panels like the doors. I’ve not yet tackled the front bumper and that looks challenging even for the semi-experienced. I will do this when the weather has warmed up as the PPF is rather thick and difficult to stretch and manipulate when cold. Even using warm water (and boiling water at times), I was struggling with it.
