This video is a quick look at the mapping in a Tesla and should help new owners.
The satellite view and precipitation (i.e. rain fall) maps require Premium Connectivity. The traffic view also required Premium Connectivity too but Tesla recently announced that this is included now without it.
My vehicle is a 2024 Tesla Model Y, registered in December 2023 and running software version 2024.44.2.5.2 when recording this in December 2024.
