Maruti Suzuki India Limited is an Indian subsidiary of Japanese automobile and motorbike manufacturer known as Suzuki. The alliance is popularly known as Maruti which at the time of its inception in 1981 was known as Maruti Udyog Limited. The first manufacturing facility was established at Gurugram, Haryana and another manufacturing facility was later established at Manesar, Haryana.
The indigenous manufacturer is well- known and well-recognized automobile manufacturer in the Indian market.
The company’s first model, Maruti 800 made its way on the Indian roads in 1983. Right from its first model the manufacturer is the most favorite brand among the Indian people. The swift model made the domestic car manufacturer even more popular among the Indian buyers. The success of the Maruti Suzuki Swift is such that the car is still very popular in its segment. So, there is no surprise that the car was the first choice for the used car buyers as it accounted for 7.49% of the total used car sale in the year 2016. The company, in fact, dominates the car market when it comes to the number of car sales. Also, the company boast of the biggest sales and service network across the country.
