MG4 Long Range Trophy review and test drive. Do we have good affordable family EV’s at last?

**correction in the video, I shoood have said 150kw power equates to about 200bhp! (Not 150). My apologies.**

Here is my first look and initial impressions of the MG4 EV Long Range Trophy.

The MG4 range starts at £25,995 for the SE standard with a 51kwh battery.
The Long Range SE with 64kwh is £28,495
The top of the range Long Range SE 64kwh Trophy (as tested) is £31,495

So it’s looks to be great value! But is it cheap and cheerful or is it competing with the likes of VW iD.3 / Cupra Born / Nissan Leaf?

In this quick review I show you around the outside, the inside and describe my first impressions of what it’s like to drive.

In brief summary, I think it’s excellent! An affordable, good value electric car with a range capable of 300 miles for under £30,000 really could be a game changer.

Some description from the MG uk website including official range estimates and included specification;
