I’ve had a few people ask me if they should get a model 3 or a model Y. I usually say get a Y if you need the sheer practicality, hatchback opening, better rear passenger legroom. But the bay isn’t as efficient as a 3 or quite as sharp to drive.
But what are the efficiency and range differences exactly? Well here is a bit of an as-hoc test but it’s a chance to drive both cars side by side [in some horrendous conditions !] to see exactly which is more efficient and what the real-world range of each will prove to be.
My conclusion. Well the same as before. Get a Y if you need the space and practicality otherwise a 3 is I think nicer to drive and more efficient!
