In this video I look at the Premium audio system in a Tesla Model Y. In the UK, all Tesla Model Y models have always had Tesla’s premium audio, including the RWD models, unlike in the Model 3. In the video I show the speaker locations and specs and audio controls and also demonstrate the external speaker.
In the UK, all Tesla Model Y trim levels have the same premium sound which consists of 13 speakers, 1 subwoofer and 2 amplifiers. However, since filming this the new revised Model Y (Juniper) has launched and for the first time the RWD models (SR & LR) have a 9 speaker audio system and the AWD LR has 15 speakers and 1 subwoofer.
